Join The Six11 Project, Base LA, and IKAR Tribe as we welcome Rabbi Deborah Anstandig for "Waves of Wisdom: What Shipwrecked Rabbis Can Teach About Resilience." Sometimes it feels as though we are living our lives through storms—times of uncertainty when the world feels out of control. In this class, we will explore rabbinic texts and contemporary voices that offer diverse approaches to navigating chaos, cultivating resilience, and finding ways not only to survive, but perhaps even to thrive. Rabbi Deborah Anstandig serves as Pardes’ Educational Director of Engagement. Deborah makes periodic trips to North America to offer a glimpse of Torah learning from the Jerusalem Beit Midrash. A long time teacher and mentor, Deborah believes that Torah learning strengthens individuals and communities–and can inspire us to lead lives of integrity, humility, and respect. Deborah studied at Yeshiva University, Harvard Graduate School of Education, and received rabbinic ordination from Hebrew College in Boston.
